Accessibility at Arya Medical Group
We want every patient to be able to use this website and to reach our care — including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, enlarge the text, or need strong colour contrast. If anything here is difficult for you, call us and we will help you right away.
Our commitment
We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard referenced by Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act for health programs like ours. We treat accessibility as ongoing work: we review this site as we update it, and we act on the feedback patients give us.
How we build this site
Practices we follow across the site, in both English and Spanish:
- We review colour contrast so text stays legible for people with low vision.
- We write alternative text for images so screen readers can describe them, and hide decorative images from screen readers.
- We build pages to work with a keyboard alone, with a visible outline showing where you are.
- We include a “skip to content” link so keyboard and screen reader users can bypass the navigation.
- We keep headings in order so screen reader users can move through a page by section.
- We mark our Spanish pages as Spanish so screen readers pronounce them correctly.
- We size buttons and links to be comfortable to tap on a phone.
- We check that pages still work with the text enlarged and on small screens.
We will get you the information another way
You never have to rely on this website to get what you need from us. If any page is hard or impossible for you to use, call us and we will read it to you, explain it, book your appointment, or give you the information in another format. We can do all of this in English or Spanish.
You can also stop by the clinic during office hours and our front desk will help you in person.
Tell us if something does not work
If you run into a problem on this site, we want to know so we can fix it. You do not need to know the technical reason or use any particular words — just tell us what happened and what you were trying to do. We aim to respond within two business days.
If we have not resolved it
We would much rather hear from you directly, and most problems are fixed the same week. If you have raised something with us and are not satisfied with how we handled it, you also have the right to file a civil rights complaint with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office for Civil Rights, at ocrportal.hhs.gov
